    Here are a few quick ways to prepare any of our Harvest Fresh Riced Veggies! 

    Saute Method:
    Heat a saute pan over medium-high heat, and add olive oil.
    Toss in a smashed clove of garlic and stir for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
    Add your vegetable rice and saute for 3-5 minutes. The longer it cooks, the softer it gets, so those are guidelines. You can cook for longer if you prefer a softer dish!

    Steam Method (2 ways)

    Stove Top Steaming Method:
    Add 1 inch of water to the bottom of a saucepan with a lid. Add in the riced vegetable of your choice and turn the stovetop to high heat. Pop the lid on the saucepan and allow to steam for 3 minutes, remove from heat, strain and serve.

    Microwave Method:
    1 Harvest Fresh Riced Vegetable of choice (fits in 1 Zip and Seal bag)
    Rinse and drain the riced vegetable so as to add a bit of additional moisture for steaming.
    Add any spices or desired flavourings right into the bag.
    Place in the microwave and cook for 3 mins and 45 secs.

    Of course, this is a very general idea and we encourage recipes that build on this, such as stir-frys, teriyaki, stuffings, and even simple side dishes where you can substitute Harvest Fresh Riced Veggies for Rice!

    NOTE** If you are wanting a "mashed" product as a replacement for mashed potatoes, then once you have completed your preference of the cooking method, take your cooked riced vegetables and add some butter and using a potato masher, mash your riced vegetable product to your desired consistency.
